You want to help a family member or friend to stop

Finding out if they want to quit

Family and friends are one of the most important triggers for smokers to stop. Most want to anyway, and a gentle nudge from someone they love can be just what they need. Probably the best thing you can do is to point them to this site or other tools they can use to help them quit.

Providing advice

Family and friends are often not best placed to advise on stopping smoking - the most important thing you can do is to let your loved one or friend know you are on his or her side whatever and to provide lots and lots of support and congratulations.
